Do you blog about books? Or have a favorite book blog you follow?
As the paperback of The Wednesday Sisters prepares to launch, I’ve been thinking about what a blessing book blogs are for authors as well as for readers. News of The Wednesday Sisters, which received almost no coverage in the print media until after it hit the San Francisco Chronicle bestseller list, spread in large part through the blogosphere, with posts on wonderful reader blogs like Hey, Lady! Whatcha Reading and From My Bookshelf, bookstore blogs like the Book Passage blog, and library blogs like The Loud Librarian. I discovered so many interesting blogs that had so many nice things to say about my little novel that I added a page to my website linking to blog reviews.
So I woke up this morning – early; I tend to sleep less and less as publication dates approach (yikes! less than three weeks!) – wondering how many great blogs must be out there that I don’t yet know about. Hence, this book blog roundup: If you host a Book Blog (or any blog dealing with literary matters), or if you have a favorite one you like to follow, please list it in a comment below. If you’re a blogger who has already posted about The Wednesday Sisters, do include the link. I’ll throw all comment names into a hat and do a random drawing on April 30, and will send the winner a signed copy of The Wednesday Sisters when it comes out in paperback May 5. – Meg
