Staying with the Anne Frank theme today, an important voice in these times:
Writing in a diary is a really strange experience for someone like me. Not only because I’ve never written anything before, but also because it seems to me that later on neither I nor anyone else will be interested in the musings of a thirteen-year old school girl. Oh well, it doesn’t matter. I feel like writing. – Anne Frank
Words to hold close when you are despairing that your words might never be read. More than 30 million copies of The Diary of Anne Frank have been sold since it was first published in 1947, in 67 languages.
If you haven’t done so already, I hope you will read my short post from yesterday on her family’s efforts to immigrate to the United States.
