If you don’t know The Loft, it’s an amazing resource for writers in Minneapolis. It was founded by my agent, Marly Rusoff, more than four decades ago in the second floor space above her bookstore, and is now one of the nation’s leading independent literary centers. I got a lovely tour of it when I was on tour with The Race for Paris, and as it appears I’ve never shared photos from that visit, here you go.
And today’s quote, which I stumbled upon on their site, comes from poet Muriel Rukeyser:
The world is not made up of atoms; it’s made up of stories.” – Muriel Rukeyser
You can read some of Rukeyser’s poems at Poetry Foundation.
And “avec Devis” is, I believe (hope), “with quote.” I think you can also say “avec citation.” And yes I am trying to improve my French in prep for a trip. If anyone knows if I should use one over the other in this context, I would love to know.
