On Reviews

I’m in that wonderful place for a writer: between reviews. But I came across a piece in Publisher’s Weekly today listing 13 remarkably bad reviews for classic books. My favorite, because it is about one of my favorite books:

Middlemarch is a treasure-house of details, but it is an indifferent whole.” -Henry James, Galaxy, 1872
